Poison—and arguably Bret Michaels himself—feels like something that should have remained in the 1980s. The glam-metal band attracted plenty of female fans, but much of that attention seemed to focus more on the members’ looks and image than on the music.
Critics see Poison as an overrated group that added little originality to the genre, making the fact that they continued touring into the 2020s somewhat surprising.
