Even Mötley Crüe founder Nikki Sixx has acknowledged that the band released some weak material over the years. Critics argue that the group is an overrated hair-metal act that rarely moved beyond its familiar formula of flashy performances, swinging hair, loud guitars, and shouted lyrics on songs like “Dr. Feelgood.”
Mötley Crüe certainly produced a few memorable tracks, but there are stronger and more musically accomplished bands within the hair-metal genre.
