Aerosmith arguably abandoned its original identity after rising to fame in the 1970s. Early on, the “Bad Boys from Boston” built their reputation with gritty rock songs and released several memorable hits throughout the decade and into the 1980s.
Over time, however, the band traded much of that raw sound for polished, radio-friendly pop rock designed to appeal to a broader audience.
