Continuing their journey, they ventured into the cabins, modest chambers housing either two or four beds, depending on their size. However, a disheartening sight greeted their eyes. None of the beds had been made, and the sheets, marred by mold and mildew, bore the signs of neglect. It was evident that the occupants had hurriedly departed, leaving behind open suitcases and scattered garments, as if time had suddenly ceased to be their ally.
