FROZEN IN FEAR
Steven wondered what Jake was talking about. Was he after someone? Suddenly, one of Jake’s dogs began to growl.
Steven glanced back in Jake’s direction and saw the dog looking straight at him, baring its teeth. Steven’s eyes widened in shock, and he froze in fear. He held his breath, praying the dog would lose interest and go away.
