After Nirvana disbanded, Dave Grohl was not ready to leave rock music behind. He formed the Foo Fighters and stepped into the role of frontman for a band that some critics see as little more than a would-be arena-rock act.
Grohl certainly has the voice and energy of a modern rock singer, but his lyrics often lack the emotional weight needed to make the songs truly memorable.
