Maroon 5

Maroon 5’s debut album, Songs About Jane, launched the pop-rock band into the spotlight and revealed what they were capable of. Unfortunately, it also proved to be the first and last album that truly lived up to that potential. In later releases, Adam Levine’s falsetto became the dominant feature, causing many of their songs to blend together.
The band has also drifted away from its pop-rock roots, embracing a more generic pop sound built around predictable production and cookie-cutter lyrics.
