By 1976, they collectively reached an agreement that annual photography sessions would become a tradition. However, consensus eluded the sisters when it came to determining who should occupy the central position or whether their arrangement should remain constant. Nixon advised the four sisters to maintain consistent positions for a more cohesive series. In the photograph, Heather, aged 24, graces the leftmost side, followed by 16-year-old Mimi, then 26-year-old Bebe, and finally, 22-year-old Laurie. Evidently, their natural beauty required no embellishment with makeup.
