A chance meeting at a Georgetown University cafeteria in 1991 marked the beginning of the enduring relationship between Norah O’Donnell and Geoff Tracy. What started as an instant connection soon developed into a partnership that merged the worlds of broadcast journalism and culinary arts. O’Donnell went on to become an Emmy Award-winning journalist, serving as anchor of “CBS Evening News,” host of “Person to Person,” and a contributor to “60 Minutes.” At the same time, Tracy built a respected career as a chef and restaurateur, managing several well-known restaurants across Washington, D.C.

Following a decade together, the couple married in June 2001 during a ceremony held at Georgetown’s Dahlgren Chapel. They later welcomed three children and even joined forces professionally with the release of “Baby Love” in 2010, a cookbook centered on healthy recipes for babies and toddlers. Their relationship reflects a strong balance of media success and culinary talent, grounded in shared priorities of family, dedication, and professional achievement.
