Family gathering
Since her initial contact with Larry’s mother last week, Larry had visited his family three times. One of these visits involved a full family gathering that lasted the entire evening, during which Barbara wasn’t invited to join. It seemed highly unlikely that her message wouldn’t have been mentioned, especially her invitation to the wedding.
These thoughts continuously churned in her mind, each scenario playing out as she mulled over them repeatedly. She recognized the need to prevent these emotions from overwhelming her; after all, there was a wedding demanding her focus. Yet, at this juncture, she couldn’t help but question whether reaching out to them had been a misstep. The uncertainty lingered as she continued to ponder her decision.
