Barbara felt a wave of relief wash over her when the family doctor appeared to understand her explanation, promptly providing her with the old emergency contact number. Discovering it belonged to Larry’s mother, her heart fluttered with anticipation for what lay ahead. A mix of excitement and nervousness filled her as she received the number from the doctor.
